MRCA Does Brush Clearance at Wildlife Overpass Site

MRCA crews are clearing dry grasses near the site of the future wildlife overpass at Liberty Canyon in Agoura Hills as part of the MRCA's 101 Corridor fire resiliency plan.

By implementing combinations of oak tree plantings, reducing flashy non-native vegetation fuels, and the promoting existing fire-resistant native vegetation, we are creating fuel breaks within MRCA properties on both sides of the freeway which decreases the potential for fires to jump the freeway or to travel away from the freeway corridor.
